About the Suite
"Suite do Garajau-escuro" is one of two Junior Suites located on the ground floor with private access and bathroom, with a stunning view of the islet of Vila Franca do Campo and the ocean. This is an exclusive and private retreat for your relaxing holidays in São Miguel Island.
Towels and sheets changed every 3 days (or on request w/ extra fee). Continental Breakfast served everyday at the balcony or in the living room, depending on weather conditions.
About the bird
Known as the Sooty Tern (Onychoprion fuscatus), this striking seabird is often referred to as the Dark-backed Tern, Dark Tern, or Wideawake Tern. It is easily recognized by its dark plumage — with wings, back, and crown almost black — contrasting sharply with its bright white underparts.
